Each “exhibition” will feature clusters of creative individuals to showcase their work. Artists are chosen based a common thread in their practice. Each individual are encouraged to bring in offshoots for the exhibition based on these constraints:

 

• All of the pieces submitted should inform the given theme.

• We will try to accommodate all works, but we would ask artists to keep in mind possible limitations in terms of space.

 

The “exhibition” will take place as a salon-styled event that provides a space for creative exchange not limited to the individuals whose works are included. The pieces submitted will be “curated” for in the space accordingly. The happening as well as individual profiles will be documented on our webpage.

 

While we ask for works to inform this theme, we encourage a diversity of approaches and propositions.

 

 

We would like to think about the process of HATCH like a hybrid between the game of Chinese whispers and exquisite corpse. While we have created a general structure, we hope as our guidelines are passed along from person to person, each individual's interpretation will change according to the act of retelling of the project. We hope the outcome will be unpredictable and spontaneous. We encourage each individual responsible maintain their personal styles of creative output.
