We’ve always known that for these artists who live in New York, the relationship is a complicated one but typically thought about it in the macro context of being foreigners or from the cliché that it’s not easy being an artist. A new art series that aims to establish a comprehensive network among up and coming artists in the city, while promoting interdisciplinary artistic expression, is underway following a successful launch in Greenpoint last Saturday.

 

The “Hatch Series,” asks a group of artists to submit works in different media usually centered on a particular theme. Artists are free to interpret the theme as they choose, as well as choose the medium for their contributions...
